Dr. Claire Bloquet

joined the Institute for Parliamentary Research as a Research Assistant in October 2021. They hold a doctoral degree in political science of the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. In their dissertation, they investigated the various ways MPs try to influence the law-making process in the French National Assembly, from a sociological perspective, using the example of the Women’s Rights Delegation. Their research interests include parliamentary structures, law-making, party discipline and gender in Parliaments, as well as discussions related to institutionalism. They are also an associate member of the CESSP (Paris).
